Immigration must be regulated

Congratulations to the Minuteman Project for contributing efforts to stop illegal immigration along our Southern border. Illegal immigration is a major issue.

The United States is a nation of immigrants. It needs the energy and industry that immigrants bring to the country. However, immigration must be regulated and legal. To that end, the United States should take two steps: First, government benefits should be limited to legal residents. Second, American citizenship should be granted only to those individuals who are in this country legally. Children born to illegal immigrants should be identified as citizens of the same country as their parents.
