A young Brazilian male has been arrested in the shooting of an LDS missionary in Brazil.

Authorities believe the same man is responsible for another shooting on the same day.

Tyler Harding, of Mesa, Ariz., was shot in the head April 9 during an attempted robbery. He is conscious and is expected to make a full recovery, the president of Harding's LDS Stake, Jerry Lewis, said Wednesday.

"The doctors and nurses working with him are saying his progress is miraculous," Lewis said.

Harding has been in Brazil 21 months.
