Snyder was disciplined by the Jazz earlier this season (he sat out one game, with pay) for making gestures directed at the Houston Rockets coaching staff during a game at the Delta Center.
This time, though, Jazz brass found no fault.
"From what Kirk has told me, and Humphries has told me, I'm not going to do anything . . . because I don't think he was responsible for what happened, from what I've been told," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "I can't suspend a player if he's protecting himself.
"I don't know all the details from their side of it," Sloan added, "but from what I've been able to obtain, I don't think he's responsible for it coming out of the arena. They may have said some things to each other out on the floor, but we all know you don't carry those things out of the building."
Mavs coach Johnson feels similarly, which combined with a possible preemptive strike to the NBA's announced disciplinary action may account for why they suspended Stackhouse even before the league.
"That type of behavior won't be tolerated.
"Jerry (Stackhouse)," he added, "is sorry it happened."
