The Delta Center was the site of ice skating and short-track speedskating events at the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics.
VENUE WEBSITE: www.deltacenter.com
SCHEDULE: Remaining home games: April 13, vs. San Antonio; April 15, vs. Minnesota; April 18, vs. Sacramento.
ADMISSION: Single-game tickets range from $40.50 to $90 in the Delta Center's lower bowl and $10 to $50.50 in the upper bowl. For those wanting something between single-game tickets and season tickets, various "mini packages" combinations of various games are also available, as are group packages.
ARRIVING: The easiest access is from off I-15, heading east on the 600 South off-ramp. Turn left on 300 West, heading north and you're just a few blocks from the Delta Center's main entrance at the corner of South Temple and 300 West.
PARKING: Fans can purchase discounted parking passes when ordering tickets online or by phone, or a number of commercial lots as well as makeshift lots on game nights are available for prices in the range of $5 to $7.
For those willing to walk several blocks or park downtown and take a ride on TRAX in its free zone, plenty of free night parking is available throughout the downtown area.
FAMILIAR FOODSTUFF: From the stadium concessions stands hot dog, $2.75-$3.50; hamburger, $4.25; popcorn, $3.75-$5.50; pretzel, $2.75; nachos, $4; soft drink, $2.75-$3.75; beer, $5.50 (two beer limit, monitored by mandatory wristbands); bottled water, $2.50.
Other concessions items available include ice cream, candy, nuts, pizza, yogurt, smoothies.
EXPANDED MENU: The Delta Center has the corner literally on bringing in commercial food vendors and local restaurants to provide additional dining. Some are merely booths and stands on the street and concourse levels, while some are expansive serving-and-seating areas that are in roped-off corners on the Delta Center's street level.
Such involvement expands the food selection to include fare from restaurants and vendors selling Mexican food, barbecue selections, steakhouse offerings, gourmet coffees and delicatessen fare.
SOUVENIRS: T-shirts, $15-20; replica jerseys, $45; hoodie sweatshirt, $60; caps, $15-$24; mini-ball, $10; pennant, $4; player bobblehead, $20; program, $5.
