I am writing in opposition to Envirocare's request for expansion of its landfill. Envirocare officials are attempting to double the size of its landfill so it can take even more waste without public knowledge or consent. If the governor approves this expansion, Utah will be a radioactive dumping ground for the foreseeable future.
Envirocare's current facility has 17 to 20 years of existing capacity left. Let's take the time to consider the potential ramifications of allowing this greedy company to double the size of its landfill.
