CLEARFIELD Clearfield police arrested a 17-year-old boy this past week after investigating the vandalism of a police car.
The boy told police he had been drinking with friends when they dared him to smash a brick into a patrol car's windshield outside of a gas station on Main Street, said Greg Krusi, Clearfield assistant police chief.
The officer had gone inside the gas station's shop for a break while he was on an early-morning patrol. When he came out 30 minutes later, he found the damaged windshield, hood and fender, Krusi said.
