People on the move

• The Summit Group Communications, a Salt Lake-based public relations and advertising firm, announced two staff changes. Miaken Christensen was promoted to public relations account coordinator. Christensen joined the firm in 2004 and is a graduate of Utah State University. Lilli Johnson was hired as a production assistant. Johnson will assist in overseeing design production, media placement, printing and purchasing, scheduling and other administrative duties.

• America First Credit Union has named Greg Taylor branch manager of the credit union's new Dan's Super Market branch on Wasatch Boulevard. Taylor has been with America First for seven years, most recently serving as manager of the Park City Dan's branch.

• Craig Cutright was named executive director of The American Lung Association of Utah. Cutright has served for more than 10 years as the association's associate director. Prior to joining the ALAU, Cutright served in different capacities with the American Heart Association. He is a graduate of the University of Utah.

• Randall J. Varney was named president of Latter-day Specialties, a supplier of LDS-targeted apparel, music, prints and posters, books and other items. Varney has more than 14 years of retail industry experience.

• The Salt Lake law firm of Strong & Hanni has hired Benjamin P. Thomas as an associate in the firm. Thomas joins the firm's business, tax and estate planning practice group. He is a graduate of Willamette University's College of Law and the U.

• Melanie P. Behunin was promoted to northwest region director of operations and training for the University of Phoenix. Behunin will oversee the university's faculty operations and training objectives in Utah; Nevada; Idaho; Oregon; Washington; and Vancouver and Calgary, Canada. She joined the University of Phoenix in 1991 as a faculty administrator.

• Claudia G. McMullin, an attorney with the Salt Lake law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy, was appointed to the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission. McMullin is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Brooklyn Law School. She joined Van Cott's Park City office in 2004.

• Jenni Wong was appointed human resources coordinator for Fieldstone Homes Utah. She is responsible for employee recruitment, retention, training and managing the company's health and benefits programs. Wong is a graduate of the U.
