The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee agreed Wednesday to a provision backed by Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah, to block additional mustard gas from coming to Utah for incineration.

Language from earlier legislation sponsored by Bennett to block chemical weapons shipments across state lines was added to the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill passed Wednesday. The measure now goes to the Senate for consideration.
