Vanessa-Mae said she hopes her benefit concert for victims of the Asian tsunami will encourage people to keep donating to the relief effort.
"People are starting to forget about this (the tsunami)," said the London-based musician, who is half-Thai and half-Chinese. She'll perform today at the Thailand Cultural Centre.
"The aim is to carry on the giving process, even months after, years after, because these people still have to live the rest of their lives with this disaster."
The 26-year-old pop-classical violinist will perform selections from her new album, "Choreography," which blends pop and classical styles.
Her performance will raise funds for Doctors Without Borders, a Red Cross summer camp for Thai children affected by the Dec. 26 tsunami and the Human Development Foundation, a local charity.
