I have been an admirrer of Pope John Paul II for his courage in defending the moral doctrines of Jesus Christ and for his defense of freedom. It was his encouragement of the Polish people in the late 1970s against the oppression of communism, and the fall of communism several years later, for which he will be forever remembered. He was truly one of the greatest men who ever lived.
