Brooke Shields has confessed she was so low after giving birth to her baby daughter, Rowan, in 2003 that she contemplated suicide, reports IMDB.com.
The actress reveals her battle with the blues in her new book "Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression."
And Shields, 39, says her depression was so debilitating, she considered ending her life.
"I didn't feel joy at all. I was in a bizarre state of mind," she writes. "This was sadness of a shockingly different magnitude. It felt as if it would never go away."
But despite the depression and her many efforts to conceive children in the past, Shields says, "I really want to have more children."
