OGDEN — Roughly 160 Army Reserve soldiers of the 146th Transportation Company in Ogden will get a crash course in deployment tonight.

The soldiers and their families will be briefed on what to expect during deployment and how to prepare for their 18-month tour of duty, which begins March 26 at Fort Bliss, Texas.

The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel in Ogden at 247 24th Street.

Six members of the 146th company are embarking on their second deployment after recently returning in June with the 419th Transportation Company of Salt Lake City. The 146th company is one of 65 units in the 96th Regional Readiness Command in Salt Lake City. The Readiness Command has 6,500 army reservists in Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and North and South Dakota.
