PROVO Provo's Crandall Historical Printing Museum, 275 E. Center, will host an open house celebrating the 175th anniversary of the first edition of the Book of Mormon on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will offer demonstrations of typesetting, printing and binding of the Book of Mormon and the story of the printing at the E.B. Grandin print shop in Palmyra, N.Y. There will also be demonstrations of the first Bible printed on the museum's 1450 Gutenberg Press, and the printing of the Declaration of Independence and Poor Richards Almanac in the Benjamin Franklin room.

There will be door prizes throughout the day, including each visitor's name set in hot metal on the museum's 1913 Model 5 Linotype. Admission is free, however donations to the museum's building fund are appreciated. Call 377-7777 for information.
