Hearing Wednesday on 'body art' facilities

The Davis County Board of Health will hold a public hearing Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Davis County Courthouse, 28 E. State in Farmington. The hearing will be in Room 236.

Proposed regulations for "body art" facilities include:

• Preoperational facility plan reviews by the health department.

• Required permitting of facilities by the health department.

• Standards for equipment, hand-washing facilities and sanitation.

• Record-keeping requirements for customers

• Sanitation and sterilization procedures for single-use items.

• Requires verbal and written public information to be supplied to potential clients.
