Developments in nuclear waste fight

Developments in Utah's fight to prevent nuclear waste storage in Skull Valley:

• NRC chairman Nils A. Diaz said Monday the storage casks do not pose a health risk to Utahns.

• Diaz said if the casks are ever breached, radiation will leak outward only two miles.

• Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. is in Washington to lobby against the nuclear waste storage proposal.
