CLEVELAND Utah forward Carlos Boozer is recovering from a foot injury and won't play against his former team when the Jazz face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
He will receive treatment in Salt Lake City and will not join the team on its five-game road trip, Jazz spokeswoman Cindy Edman said.
Boozer, averaging a team-high 17.8 points and 9.0 rebounds, sprained his right foot at Phoenix on Feb. 14.
He spent his first two seasons with the Cavaliers and signed a $68 million deal with the Jazz last summer. The Cavaliers contended he backed out of agreement to stay with the team after allowing him to become a restricted free agent. Boozer has maintained there was no such agreement.
