Kevin Bacon is getting some film festival love.
"Loverboy," the second movie directed by Bacon, will open the 10th annual Gen Art Film Festival, scheduled April 6-12. The film premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
Based on the book by Victoria Redel, "Loverboy" stars Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, who plays a dangerously overprotective mom.
Bacon also directed "Losing Chase," a 1996 TV movie starring Sedgwick and Helen Mirren.
He starred in "Mystic River," "Hollow Man," "Apollo 13" and "Footloose."
