• BYU Museum of Art (North Campus Drive, Provo) will host a lecture by Rie Hachiyanagi Wednesday, from 5-6 p.m. in the museum's auditorium. Hachiyanagi, whose installation piece, "Rituals of Being," is on display in the Jones & Boshard Galleries through March 26, will discuss the ideas that have influenced her art. Thursday evening, from 6:15-8, she will reprise her performance piece "Benevolence" for the public. The event is free.
• The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, will present an Art Talk Wednesday evening at 7. Rene Yung, installation artist, designer and writer, will discuss her installation " . . . nges and Disappearances," which deals with discrimination against the Chinese.
