BYU Museum of Art (North Campus Drive, Provo) will host a lecture by Rie Hachiyanagi Wednesday, from 5-6 p.m. in the museum's auditorium. Hachiyanagi, whose installation piece, "Rituals of Being," is on display in the Jones & Boshard Galleries through March 26, will discuss the ideas that have influenced her art. Thursday evening, from 6:15-8, she will reprise her performance piece "Benevolence" for the public. The event is free.
The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, will present an Art Talk Wednesday evening at 7. Rene Yung, installation artist, designer and writer, will discuss her installation " . . . nges and Disappearances," which deals with discrimination against the Chinese.
