Beaver This year the resort added more features to its terrain park, including more rails and jumps to accommodate both novice and intermediate riders. Jumps ranging from 10 to 25 feet make the park a great place to learn the ropes. Rails have been made locally and range from flat, ride one rails to flat gap rails. The more advanced rails are a 15-foot pyramided, 10-foot down rail and a flat gap, C and S rail.
Brighton This year the resort has stepped up its terrain park arena. It features the only interconnecting park from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Getting off the Crest Express lift, the first park is located down My-o-My and includes a choice of jumps from 15 to 20 feet, or a line of rails and boxes. The interconnecting park features beginner rails, flat bars and mailbox leading to an A-frame rail. In its Majestic Park, there are the Bertha and Little Sammy jumps ranging from 20 to 40 feet. There are several rail lines to choose from as well as a 16-by-450-foot half-pipe. Majestic Park is lighted at night.
Park City Mountain Resort There are four terrain parks full of rails, jumps and boxes for every ability. It is also home of the Superpipe, host site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. All totaled, the resort is home to two interactive Web cams, more than 50 rails and funbox features, and 15 jumps.
Snowbird The resort stepped it up with a Superpipe 400 feet long, 50 feet wide and 17 feet deep. The Baby Thunder lift takes riders to multiple takeoffs for 15 to 40 feet, tables, fun boxes and an arsenal of rails ranging from beginner to advanced. Snowbird is also home to one of the best beginner parks, located on Big Emma and accessible from Gad or Gad Zoom. It features rails and jumps ranging from beginner to intermediate with a fresh cut half-pipe as well.
