The Bureau of Land Management is accepting applications for five positions on its Resource Advisory Council for Utah. The council gives recommendations for land use and management of Utah's 22 million acres of public lands.
The five, three-year terms include two positions in commodities, which oversees federal grazing permits, energy and mineral development, timber industry, transportation or rights-of-way, off-highway vehicle use and commercial recreation interests.
Two more positions are open in local area interests for individuals who are state, county, or local elected officers, Native Americans, the public at large, academicians in the natural sciences and employees of state agencies responsible for management of natural resources.
Nomination forms can be obtained at BLM offices or at www.ut.blm.gov and must be submitted by April 18. For information, call 539-4195.
