A hunting accident sent a man to the hospital in fair condition after being shot by a 15-year-old member of his hunting party in the buttocks.
The 15-year-old was part of a group that was hunting rabbits near I-80 Saturday morning. As he spotted a rabbit that ran away over a hill, the boy drew a bead on the animal and missed his intended target. He hit a 30-year-old friend, Tooele County Sheriff's Sgt. Judd Ericson said.
The man was taken to Mountain West Medical Center and is expected to recover, he said.
