• The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, presents another panel discussion Wednesday evening at 7. The topic, "The Vanishing: The Lost Histories of the Chinese in the Intermountain West," will be explored. • Salt Lake County is accepting applications from arts groups qualified for ZAP funding. Interested organizations may inquire and download an application from www.slcozap.org. ZAP Tier 1 applications are due March 25. Tier 2 applications are due April 1.

• The Salt Lake Art Center has recently added two new staff members: Leslie Peterson has been hired as the assistant director, and Jay Heuman has assumed the position of curator of education.

• The Utah Arts Council Design Arts Program announces a call for entries for Design Arts Utah '05. Designers residing in Utah and working in any medium are eligible to submit designs for review by Joseph Rosa, curator of architecture and design for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
