Delta Air Lines announced Tuesday that it will add one new nonstop destination from its Salt Lake hub.
Beginning June 1, Delta will offer one daily nonstop flight between Salt Lake City and Raleigh-Durham, N.C. The flight will depart Salt Lake City at 4:50 p.m., arriving in North Carolina at 10:43 p.m. The return flight will depart Raleigh-Durham at 7:30 a.m., arriving in Salt Lake at 10:15 a.m.
Doug Blissit, Delta vice president, said in a statement that the service between Salt Lake City and Raleigh-Durham "links a growing business market to a growing hub."
In addition, the airline announced nonstop daily flights between Atlanta and Boise, beginning June 1, and Saturday-only summer season flights between Atlanta and Jackson, Wyo., beginning June 4. Currently, Delta serves Jackson non-stop from Atlanta on Saturdays during the winter peak season and daily from Salt Lake City on its mainline service, as well as flights operated by Delta Connection partner SkyWest.
