While the media-savvy may still have their say, Friday is the last day for the public to give input on plans for the Legacy Parkway.
Regardless of position, it's crucial for people to voice their opinions, said Tom Hudachko, spokesman for the Utah Department of Transportation.
"We'll have a better project at the end of the day if we get more public input," he said.
After Friday, officials with the Federal Highway Administration and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will review comments by the public, make adjustments to a study of the roadway and issue a decision as to whether Legacy can be built.
Hudachko anticipates UDOT will receive permits to build sometime this fall, after which the department will petition the district court in Salt Lake City to lift an injunction on construction.
