Key stretch: Justin Hawkins' first 3-pointer of the season started a 10-0 run that put Utah up 50-38 midway through the second half.

Key stat: After starting the game 1 for 10 from the field, the Utes shot 74.2 percent the rest of the way and finished at 58.5 for the game.

Top performance: Andrew Bogut had 26 points and 13 rebounds, but Justin Hawkins' career-high 21 points may have been the key to the win.

Overall record: Utah 24-4, BYU 9-18

Conference record: Utah 12-1, BYU 3-10
