The Utah Science Center and the University of Utah are seeking entries for the 2005 Salt Lake Valley Science and Engineering Fair.
The fair will be March 17-18 on the sixth floor of The Tower at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the University of Utah campus. All middle and high school students from private and public schools within Salt Lake, Tooele and Summit counties are invited to enter.
The fair lets students in grades six through 12 showcase their achievements and compete for prizes. Top performers will be invited to compete at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, the world's largest pre-college celebration of science, with students from about 50 countries. Prizes include more than $2 million in scholarships, tuition grants, scientific equipment and scientific trips.
