A House bill that would repeal in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants has moved from the House Rules Committee after twice failing.
The bill, HB239, would repeal a law granting in-state tuition for undocumented students who have completed three years of high school in Utah, and graduated.
This is the second year Rep. Glenn Donnelson, R-North Ogden, has tried to repeal the law, saying it is unfair to students from other states. It now goes before the House Education Committee.
Last year's bill never made it to the House floor.
