Art J. VanTielen (Readers' Forum, Jan. 3) uses the words of former Vice President Spiro Agnew ("nattering nabobs of negativity") to chide the Hollywood left and anyone else who has spoken negatively about the war in Iraq and the administration's justification for it.
Agnew resigned from the vice presidency in disgrace, was convicted of tax evasion and was proven to be the most corrupt governor in Maryland history, receiving kickbacks from private business long after he joined the Nixon administration. If that is the most credible source VanTielen can find to support his position, I suggest his position is without credibility.
