"Maybe next time," Okur said.

TEAM PLAY: The Jazz evidently are still looking for less-selfish play from Kris Humphries, their lottery-pick rookie forward.

"At this level," coach Jerry Sloan said when the Jazz visited Humphries' home state of Minnesota a few nights back, "it's pretty hard to give him the ball and just let him go play by himself.

"He's got to learn how to play with other people," Sloan added, "and try to be able to understand technique defensively."

Humphries is averaging 9.9 minutes and a current team-low 2.8 points in 31 games this season.

NO CAVS-CLARK DEAL: According to Monday's Akron Beacon Journal, "After investigating the chances of bringing in Keon Clark on a 10-day contract, the Cavaliers have abandoned hope of signing the elusive forward."

Clark played two games for the Jazz last season but eschewed free-agency overtures from both New York and Cleveland this past offseason.

HE SAID IT: The Magic's DeShawn Stevenson, reacting to an "F" grade the Orlando Sentinel gave the ex-Jazz guard on its midseason report card: "I guess this means I'm academically ineligible."
