VINEYARD — The new mayor of Vineyard is Randy Farnworth, a long-time resident and member of the town council, which made the selection.

Farnworth was one of three council members who applied for the position, vacated by Rulon Gammon, who resigned this month after serving as the town's only mayor since 1989, when the town was incorporated.

Farnworth owns Randy's Mechanical, a plumbing, heating and air conditioning business in Orem.
