LINDON Five residents have filed for the chance to be named Lindon mayor.
The Lindon City Council will pick a replacement for Larry Ellertson, who resigned to assume his elected post on the Utah County commission.
Applicants are Jeff Acerson, David Udall, Roger Colton, Forest "Eric" Anthony and Russell Stay.
The council will publicly interview the candidates Wednesday in a special council meeting at the Lindon City Hall, 100 N. State St., Lindon. The meeting begins at 6 p.m.
Following the interviews, the council will go into a closed-door session to discuss the candidates and choose a mayor by Feb. 1.
