Rhythm and blues diva Patti LaBelle is coming back to the stage — appearing next month in the Los Angeles company of "Chicago."

LaBelle will play Matron Mama Morton in the Kander-and-Ebb musical, running at New York's Pantages Theatre in Hollywood Feb. 5-20. She will star with former talk-show host Wayne Brady, who portrays lawyer Billy Flynn in the touring production.

The long-running revival of "Chicago" is now in its ninth year on Broadway, currently playing at the Ambassador Theatre. It stars Charlotte d'Amboise, Terra C. MacLeod and Brent Barrett.
