Rhythm and blues diva Patti LaBelle is coming back to the stage appearing next month in the Los Angeles company of "Chicago."
LaBelle will play Matron Mama Morton in the Kander-and-Ebb musical, running at New York's Pantages Theatre in Hollywood Feb. 5-20. She will star with former talk-show host Wayne Brady, who portrays lawyer Billy Flynn in the touring production.
The long-running revival of "Chicago" is now in its ninth year on Broadway, currently playing at the Ambassador Theatre. It stars Charlotte d'Amboise, Terra C. MacLeod and Brent Barrett.
