The Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency Board once again postponed a decision on selling land to the Living Planet Aquarium.
The aquarium and the RDA have been squabbling over land the RDA owns near 400 South and 500 West for months. Thursday, the board decided to extent an aquarium decision until Feb. 11 to give attorneys more time to reach an agreement. The aquarium has an option to purchase the land for nearly $4 million and has told the RDA it wants to take that option.
The RDA would like to use the land for another development because board members have lost faith that the aquarium can raise the $47 million it needs to build its facility.
