Roads across the state remained slick Tuesday evening, with emergency dispatchers reporting slide-offs in Summit and Box Elder counties and a handful of injury accidents in Sevier, Juab and Carbon counties. Snow was falling over I-70 Tuesday night and officers were waiting for the flow of calls to increase, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Wade Breur said.

"All the snowplows are out," Breur said. "We're probably going to get some stuff happening overnight."

In Utah Valley on Monday, flooding affected about a dozen homes near Manilla Elementary School in Pleasant Grove, where the drain system apparently became overwhelmed.

Spanish Fork street crews on Tuesday cleaned out storm drains and gutters to stave off future problems, said Dan Thomas, Spanish Fork's emergency preparedness officer. But officials kept an eye on Spanish Fork River areas that have filled with sediment.

"Unless we get a lot of rain there's no danger," Mayor Dale Barney said.

Utah Valley was expected to pick up 4 to 6 inches of snow into today, with drying out dry weather expected for the rest of the week, National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Brenchley reported.

Rain also was expected to turn to snow in the Salt Lake area, with 3 to 6 inches expected in the valley and 6 to 9 inches on the benches, Church said.
