PROVO — The Provo City Council voted 5-2 Tuesday night to install council member Cynthia Dayton as the council chairwoman for 2005.
Barbara Sandstrom will serve as vice chairwoman. The council selected her by a 4-2 vote, with one council member absent.
Both women will hold their respective positions for one year, said Ted Dowling, executive director of the city council.
