Craig Childs, naturalist author of "The Way Out," will read from his book and sign copies, Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore, 254 S. Main.

Sara Fitzgerald, local writer and creative writing teacher at Granger High School, will present a writer's workshop, Tuesday, 6:45 p.m., Salt Lake City Main Library, 210 E. 400 South. Sponsored by the Salt Lake Chapter of the League of Utah Writers.

Craig Johnson, author of "The Cold Dish," a thriller set in Wyoming, will read from his book and sign copies, Tuesday, 7 p.m., The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East.

Michael Wall, a medical doctor now writing fiction under the name Aalbert Plank, will read from his book, "Time and Time Again," Saturday, 3 p.m., Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore. A signing will follow.

Candace Salima, author of "Out of the Shadows . . . Into the Light," will sign copies of her book, Saturday, 1-4 p.m., Media Play, 130 E. University Parkway, Orem.
