ABC television program "Good Morning America" will air today a story about Kali Breisch, a Utah teen who has been missing since the tsunami hit Thailand last week.
The story will feature efforts of her father, Dr. Stuart Breisch, to find the missing Skyline High School student, 15. The television crew spent Sunday with the doctor, and a crew also interviewed Kali's brother Jai in a Thai hospital.
"Diane Sawyer and Stu went into some temples looking for Kali's body. They didn't find anything," said longtime family friend Charlene Edmunds.
The family has been combing the country's resort area of Khao Lak, where they were vacationing, since the girl disappeared in the tsunami. Kali and Jai were in a bungalow that was knocked down by a huge wave. Jai was injured and has been hospitalized since. Kali disappeared.
Stuart Breisch, his fiance, Sally Nelson of San Diego, and his daughter Shonti, 18, were on a dive boat at the time and escaped injury. They have been searching for Kali.
The family is working on a Web site to raise funds for the people of Thailand. In the meantime, anyone interested in donating money can do so through the Breisch Thailand Fund at any Zions Bank branch.
