Rocky thinks he's the governor

In a letter from Patsy Washburn (Readers' Forum, Dec. 23), she states, "Since these people live in Saratoga Springs and Provo, I don't understand their concern about what Rocky does in Salt Lake."

What Mayor Rocky Anderson is doing is trying to change the liquor laws of the state of Utah, not the laws of Salt Lake City. When your mayor is using his position to influence state law, all residents of this state have a right to voice their opposition. Rocky acts as if he were the governor, not the mayor of Salt Lake. This time it is liquor laws. In the past, it has been suing to stop the Legacy Highway in Davis County and helping convince other counties to pay for mass transit in Salt Lake. As long as he continues to act like he is the governor, he will get criticism from all over the state.
