LOGAN (AP) — A Logan woman accused of plotting her ex-husband's death will have her murder trial pushed back so other proceedings can go first.

Tamara Rhinehart's burglary trial starts in January, meaning the murder trial has been rescheduled for April.

Prosecutors had initially joined the cases against her — the June 2003 burglary of the home of Rhinehart's aunt with the July 2003 murder of her ex-husband, plumber Michael Boudrero.

Prosecutors claim she used money stolen from her aunt's safe to purchase insurance policies in the name of her ex-husband, which she hoped to cash in after his killing.

Her attorneys appealed to the Utah Supreme Court, claiming the two cases were unrelated. But to end any potential delays with likely appeals, prosecutors agreed to separate the trials.
