United Way needs variety of volunteers

The Volunteer Care Clinic is looking for licensed physicians, retired or practicing, to provide volunteer medical care to those in need. The clinic is open Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Specialist physicians are just as helpful as general practitioners and pediatricians. For information, contact Jana at 374-8108.

The Family Center for Utah Valley is offering a free parenting class in Spanish at Centro Hispano on Wednesday's at 6 p.m. In conjunction with that, volunteers are needed to care for children younger than age 8 while their parents are attending the class. Volunteers do not need to speak Spanish but should have experience caring for small children. For information, please contact Kristen at 374-8108.

Serve at the Woman, Infants and Children (WIC) office by assisting with office duties. Volunteers will work with an office manager and be responsible for filing and other general office work. Call Mindy at 851-7319 for more details.

Meals On Wheels needs help with delivering meals to home-bound elderly throughout Utah County. Volunteers will be reimbursed for mileage. For information, contact Ted at 229-3802.

The American Red Cross needs people to donate blood. The agency is also looking for volunteers who can serve cookies to blood donors at the Blood Bank. For information, contact Nancy at 373-8580.
