Fire swept through a West Salt Lake garage Sunday morning, causing $25,000 damage.
Fire crews responded to 1227 S. Navajo St. (about 1380 West) at 6:04 a.m. and found a fully-involved fire in a single-vehicle garage, said Salt Lake Fire Capt. Devin Villa. Heat and flames from the garage were beginning to reach two nearby homes and a car parked in the driveway.Firefighters brought the fire under control in 10 minutes, but spent more than an hour mopping up hot spots, Villa said.
None of the 18 firefighters who worked on the fire was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
