WHO IS BEING MOBILIZED? The Utah National Guard's 222nd Field Artillery Battalion has approximately 475 soldiers who live in a geographical area that spans from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas.

GOING FIRST: A group of 50 officers will deploy to Camp Shelby, Miss., on Jan. 4 where they will prepare the test ranges and receive the equipment the Triple Deuce will take with it to Iraq.

UP NEXT: On Jan. 24, the remainder of the battalion will deploy to the camp for four to five months of training and validation exercises. It will then ship to Fort Irwin, Calif., for 30 days of final training before deploying to Iraq for one year on an undisclosed mission.
