Nicolas Cage has laughed off reports he's been lined up as a possible James Bond replacement for Pierce Brosnan, insisting only British actors can fill the role, reports IMDB.com.
At the British premiere of his latest film, "National Treasure," Cage admitted playing 007 would be a dream role, but he has no realistic chance of starring as the super spy. Cage said, "That's the thing there's no way an American will ever be allowed to play James Bond.
"You can have a Brit play Batman, but you can't have an American play Bond, that will never happen. As much as I'd love to, I will never be invited to that party."
