Sederburg's stance offensive

As a result of Michael Moore's visit to UVSC, the school loses $200,000 in donations and the student-body vice president, who headed up the efforts to bring Moore to the campus, is asked to resign.

Who is to blame for the lost revenue and public embarrassment? The student government? School administration? According to UVSC President William Sederburg, the LDS Church and BYU (Deseret Morning News, Dec. 10).

I suppose he also believes that some underground church-sponsored crusaders were responsible for similar public outcries at the University of Nevada-Reno and George Mason University in Virginia. The Michael Moore visit may have cost UVSC some money, but I can assure President Sederburg that other supporters will follow suit after reading his silly and offensive comments.

President Sederburg got one thing right: UVSC will certainly never be another BYU.
