OGDEN Rudolph will guide Santa's sleigh to Newgate Mall in Ogden this month to celebrate the 40th TV anniversary of the animated classic "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."
On Dec. 11-12, the Newgate Mall, 36th Street and Wall Avenue, will post a daily trivia question about the holiday television special. One winner with the correct answer will be drawn daily.
"Many of us grew up on this holiday classic," said Karla Woodward, assistant general manager of Newgate Mall. "We're definitely going to have fun with the questions and we know our shoppers will, too. Many generations have grown up with this TV special. We expect winners of the trivia contests to be of all ages."
To further celebrate the holiday classic, signs throughout the mall will feature various "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" characters, includ- ing Yukon Cornelius and Hermey the Elf. This is the first time the holiday decor at Newgate Mall has included recognized holiday characters other than Santa.
