It would be heaven to hear this list live

A couple of weeks ago, I took a friend to see the Australian Pink Floyd show in the E Center. And the band performed the original Pink Floyd's trademark album "Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety during that show.

That's right. The Aussie band members played the Pink Floyd album live, note-for-note, beat-for-beat. And they didn't have to do any backtracking to make it sound good.

It reminded me of a few years ago when Rush played "2112" from start to finish in the Delta Center.

Anyway, I got to thinking. If other classic-rock bands (including some classic-metal bands) could play their trademark albums live, which would they be?

I decided to make a wish list. And, mind you, this list includes my favorite musicians, whether they're dead or alive, and in no particular order:

• Jimi Hendrix, "Electric Ladyland"

• The Doors, "The Doors"

• U2, "War"

• AC/DC, "Back in Black" or "Highway to Hell"

• The Who, "Tommy"

• Led Zeppelin, "II" or "IV"

• Metallica, "Ride the Lightning"

• Black Sabbath, "Paranoid"

• Deep Purple, "Machine Head"

• Janis Joplin, "Pearl"

• Alice Cooper, "Welcome to My Nightmare"

• Elton John, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"

• The Eagles, "Hotel California"

• Santana, "Abraxas"

• Neil Diamond, "Just for You"

• ZZ Top, "Tres Hombres"

• Meat Loaf, "Bat Out of Hell"

• Simon & Garfunkel, "Bridge Over Troubled Water"

• The Grateful Dead, "American Beauty" or "Working Man's Dead"

• Velvet Underground, "Velvet Undergound & Nico"

• Blue Oyster Cult, "Agents of Fortune"

• Paul McCartney & Wings, "Band on the Run"

• Guns N' Roses, "Appetite for Destruction"

• Bob Dylan, "Bringing It All Back Home"

• Scorpions, "Blackout"
