Not a shopper? Catch a movie

OREM —These days the Thanksgiving turkey barely gets in the oven before the stampede of shoppers hits the early bird sales. If you are one of those folks who likes to be out and about, but not necessarily in the shopping fray, this week was made for you. There are a handful of wonderful family movies hitting the big screen at several theaters throughout the valley.

If you like the big screen, check out these movie possibilities: "Finding Neverland," rated PG; "The Work and the Glory," rated PG; and "Christmas with the Kranks," rated PG. If you haven't seen the following shows, you may want to check them out, too: "The Incredibles," rated PG; "National Treasure," rated PG; "The Polar Express," rated G; and last, but certainly not least, "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie," rated PG.

If you're staying at home and decorating the house and just want to snuggle-up to a cup of hot chocolate and buttered popcorn, you may want to take home the new DVD release of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." As for me . . . I will be enjoying decorating, hot cocoa, and my annual double feature viewing of "White Christmas," and "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
