Water surges as it is released from Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Ariz., on Sunday. The water, which flows into the Grand Canyon, was released by the Bureau of Reclamation in an effort to redistribute 800,000 metric tons of sediment to maintain ecosystems on the Colorado River.
