• Encourage addicts to get treatment.

• Become foster or shelter parents.

• Support stores that keep pseudoephedrine, a meth ingredient, where it can be monitored.

• Arrange neighborhood police or DEA presentations.

• Be politically active. Voice opinions to lawmakers about drug-related legislation.

• Report criminal activity in neighborhoods, workplaces and schools.

• Report child abuse.

• Become a volunteer for at-risk children.
