A member of a local street gang who walked away from a halfway house last month has been named this week's Public Enemy No. 1 by the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit.
Joey Jesse Lopez, 33, is wanted on a no-bail fugitive warrant. His criminal history includes burglary, aggravated assault, theft and numerous drug charges, according to the gang unit.
Lopez is 5 foot 9 and 155 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Lopez has numerous tattoos including "Felicia" on his left arm, "West Style" on his back and side and "RIP" and "In memory of" on his right forearm.
Lopez is described by detectives as possibly being armed and dangerous and as having violent tendencies. He also goes by the moniker "Loader."
Anyone with information on Lopez is asked to call the gang unit at 743-7000.
